Kick off the Malcolm Flowers Insurances Taupō Winter Festival with an unforgettable evening of winter magic, proudly brought to you by our friends at More FM.

Watch Tongariro South Domain come alive with the dazzling Dropzone Light Hub, soak up the sounds of Taupō’s resident jazz band, The Great Lake Big Band, and be captivated by spectacular fire dancers. There’s plenty for the little ones too - enjoy a ride on the Lions Train or get creative with fun crafts. Plus, joining us this year we have a number of local food trucks, with yummy kai options to fill hungry tummies.

Taupō Museum will be open with a Matariki star hunt and hot milo drinks available (on a koha basis) from the Ora Garden.

My love of pristine environments led me to New Zealand and eventually to the mountains, lakes and rivers of the central North Island which is home.
