Welcome to the Taupō Winter Festival! 10 days, 32 events, a whole lot of fun!
The fifth annual Malcolm Flowers Insurances Taupō Winter Festival will be Friday 3rd – Sunday 12th July 2020. It offers an action-packed programme over the school holidays.
For the kids (and kids at heart!) check out the ice rink, a giant inflatable snow globe with snow directly from neighboring Mt Ruapehu. Tongariro North Domain transforms to a fun zone of activities including; a 35m long inflatable obstacle course, community art projects, bubble soccer, live music, free hot chocolates and much more.
Once the kids are tucked up, come back out and enjoy the world-class theatre, comedy and music events on offer.
The 2020 programme will be launched April 2020.
Giving Back
The Taupō Winter Festival is run by the One Taupō Trust which exists to:
- establish festivals promoting community, fun, art, music and inspiration to attendees
- give back to the wider Taupō community by providing financial assistance to families needing to travel outside of the district to seek specialist medical treatment
- support healthy families through education in nutrition and lifestyle choice
So far the One Taupo Trust has designated over $12000 to distribute to families in financial hardship due to the misfortune of have sick children.
